Robe Training is running a 3-day First Aid Responder (FAR) training course this October at the Robe Training Centre.
The First Aid Response course, commonly known as FAR training, provides participants with the practical knowledge and skills needed to recognise and respond to medical emergencies, provide first aid and perform CPR.
The course follows the PHECC First Aid Response training programme and is suitable for employees, workplace first aiders and individuals who want recognised first aid training.
First Aid Responder Course Dates
The three training days will take place on:
- Monday 5 October 2026 at 9:00am
- Monday 12 October 2026 at 9:00am
- Monday 19 October 2026 at 9:00am
Participants must attend all three days of the course.

What is a First Aid Responder Course?
A First Aid Responder course teaches participants how to respond effectively when someone becomes ill or injured.
The training combines theory with practical exercises, allowing participants to develop the confidence to assess an emergency, provide appropriate first aid and assist a casualty until professional medical help arrives.
The course includes practical training in areas such as:
- First aid safety and emergency procedures
- Assessing and managing an emergency situation
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)

PHECC First Aid Response Training
The First Aid Response (FAR) programme is associated with Ireland’s Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) and provides a recognised standard of first aid training.
